Dental Implants Clinton Township, MI
Dental Implants are a great advancement in dentistry as they permanently replace missing teeth in a way that no previous dental technique was able to accomplish. Implants are anchors made out of the strongest titanium materials, that are implanted into the bone and then covered with a cap or denture. They are stronger than a natural root and will never require a root canal or filling. An implant will help maintain the health and shape of the bone in the jaw area, and neighboring teeth do not need to be filed down to make room for it.
It is imperative that the dentist performing the implant be experienced and skilled in all the proper techniques of Implant dentistry. When done successfully, an implant will result in a comfortable and natural looking tooth, thereby providing a permanent solution to a missing tooth.
The Lakeside Center for Implant Dentistry is dedicated to Minimally Invasive Dental Implant Technology which is completed in a short, comfortable visit with no incisions or stitches to replace Single or Multiple Missing Teeth including Full Mouth Restoration. Also, existing Full and Partial Dentures can be stabilized using Mini Implants as well, eliminating the need for wires or clasps or adhesives, with such amazing results that Denture Wearers just won't believe the difference! What We Do:
The Lakeside Center for Implant Dentistry uses exclusively Minimally Invasive "Mini" One Piece Dental Implants. These Revolutionary devices are made of bone loving Medical Grade Titanium with a coating that further enhances bony integration. They have an ingenious ball over square attachment which allows for attachment of a Single or Multiple Crowns or Full or Partial Denture even in areas where space is limited.
The Implants are placed in a short, comfortable appointment with local anesthetic (just as when you have a filling). A small pilot hole is placed through the gum tissue into the bone without an incision and the Implant is threaded into place. Usually, expansion of the bony site occurs so that upon healing the area would actually measure slightly expanded, rather than having significant bone removed as with conventional implant surgery. Very little bleeding is encountered and discomfort post procedure is usually controlled with just Motrin.
If a Crown or multiple tooth Bridge is being placed an Impression is taken and your Implant Crown or Bridge is placed in about 3 weeks.
If a Denture is being stabilized, attachments are placed in the underside of your denture and with just basic cautions you can immediately begin chewing as you have never been able to chew with your denture.
